Queen of the Rosary School Participates in Hour of Code

Under the direction of Paul Labant, Queen of the Rosary students in kindergarten though grade eight participated in Hour of Code for the fourth year in a row. Hour of Code is promoted and organized by Cord.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding participation and interest in computer science in schools worldwide. Making computer science a part of the core teaching curriculum is the long-term goal since computer programming is a foundational field for all 21st century careers.

Hour of Code, which was recently refreshed with new content, gives the Elk Grove school's students an exciting opportunity to learn basic computer programming in a fun, simple way.

Queen of the Rosary School will be hosting a Community Open House on Sunday, January 9, 2017 from 11:00-a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
