Glenbard parenting event in Spanish: Special Education Process Step by Step

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Spanish will present the Special Education Process Step by Step: Practical Guide to Special Education - Everything Parents Need to Know with Glenbard East school psychologist Mariana Proske on Thursday, Jan. 19.

The words special education can be intimidating, alarming and confusing to a parent or guardian. In this presentation, parents and guardians will be provided with the tools, terminology and information they need to best support their child's unique needs. Learn how to become an advocate and help your child use their gifts, reach their full potential and succeed in school and beyond. Special education is more effective, and our students are more successful, when parents and guardians are informed and involved.

This free GPS event presented in Spanish will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 19 in the library at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard.

CPDUs are available.
