Local manufacturing company hosts students for Manufacturing Day

Perfection Spring & Stamping Corp., small family business in Mt. Prospect, recently hosted local schools for a plant tour and presentation of as part of the National Manufacturing Day program.

Perfection Spring & Stamping Corp. is a custom metal component manufacturer for today's global marketplace. It has been in business for over 60 years, and have around 90 hard-working employees that all contribute to the success of the company. They provide high quality, precision, metal stampings, springs, wireforms, and mechanical assemblies to a variety of customers.

In order to continue to grow and keep up with the ever-changing technology, they look to educate and employ the youth in the community.

Manufacturing Day is a great way to showcase to students around the country the rewarding, highly skilled careers available in manufacturing today. Manufacturers across the nation, like us, have been participating as sponsors, hosting open houses, public tours, career workshops and other events.

Unfortunately, finding skilled workers has become a national epidemic that we have found we can best overcome by offering several apprenticeship programs. Being an apprentice is a great option for students right out of high school (or older), as we provide them with skills to succeed and build a career.

Students should know that they don't have to go to college to have a great career and make a great living. In fact, they can get paid while learn through our programs! By opening up shop floors around the country, they are be able to show modern manufacturing for what it is - a sleek, technology-driven industry that offers secure, good-paying jobs. Perfection Spring & Stamping Corp. was elated to have two schools visit from Chicago in November, and plan on continuing to invite others to hopefully change the perception of what working in manufacturing is like nowadays.
