Sept. 11: Open House and Back-to-Church-School Celebration at United Protestant Church

Community members seeking a church home are invited to attend a Fall Open House and Back-to-Church-School Celebration at United Protestant Church of Grayslake on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Between the two morning worship services (8:15 and 10:30 a.m.), children and adults can attend an open house to learn about and sign up for Christian education classes and meet the teachers.

Starting at 11:30 a.m., the Back-to-Church-School Celebration on the church front lawn will feature fun activities, including a moonwalk for the kids, a mini-petting zoo with five cool animals, refreshments and a Mission Fair highlighting mission activities you can get involved with at United Protestant Church.

The United Protestant Church of Grayslake is affiliated with the United Church of Christ Fox Valley Association and the United Methodist Church Northern Illinois Conference. The church is located in historic downtown Grayslake at 54 S. Whitney St. Worship services are held at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays, with Christian education for all ages at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays during the school year. The senior pastor is Rev. Gary Waters.
