I was working of a photography experiment effect called "Bokeh" ("the visual quality of the out-of-focus areas of a photographic image, especially as rendered by a particular lens" and "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light"). While on Safari in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa last October I spotted this Serval about 6 feet away from me in a tree above my head. I was lucky enough to get a couple of photos of which this is the best. A serval is a medium sized African wild cat native to sub-Saharan Africa. This shot was very lucky as it is completely un-retouched. ISO 1250, 210 mm, f 5.6, 1/400.

This photo was taken on a mountain side overlooking the city of Prizren, Kosovo, where I am stationed as a Peace Corps volunteer. The view from the Fortress is at 1640 feet above the city and the fortress dates to the 6th century, and possibly to prehistoric times.
