As we age, arthritis can become more severe and more painful, and orthopedic issues also can become more pronounced. Our physician tells you what to expect, how you can prevent or manage some conditions, and when to see your doctor.

The Understand Your Pain program is a part of the Wellness Ministry, a congregationally based ministry of Advocate Condell Medical Center. This ministry addresses the education about healthy living, prevention and management of illnesses, relationship between faith and health of individuals, and training parishioners on health ministry leadership. Traci Smith is the coordinator of the program at Ivanhoe Congregational Church.
