Library Bus Trips Head to Ravinia and Fireside Theater

West Side Story and Smokey Joe's Café will be the featured entertainment during separate Schaumburg Township District Library bus trips in July. Registration and prepayment are required for both trips. Register by visiting the Information Desk on the library's second floor, or by calling (847) 923-3347 to pay with a credit card.

The motorcoach will leave for Ravinia's performance of "CSO Live: West Side Story" at 3:30 p.m., Friday, July 18 from the library's parking lot, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, and return at approximately 11:30 p.m. The Oscar-winning film will be shown on the giant pavilion screens, while the score is played live by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The $92 fee includes transportation, pavilion seating, and a buffet dinner in a tented space. Ravinia is located in Glencoe, IL.

Those interested in seeing the critically-acclaimed musical revue, "Smokey Joe's Café," are invited to register for the bus trip that leaves the library parking lot at 8:45 a.m., Thursday, July 24 and heads to the Fireside Theater in Ft. Atkinson, WI. The bus will return to the library at approximately 5:30 p.m. The $87 fee includes transportation, ticket, and a plated lunch before the show.
