ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (February 19, 2014) -- With falls reported as the leading cause of fatal injuries among older adults, Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting a no-charge fall risk screening clinic. NCH physical therapists will help individuals learn about their risk of falling and what they can do to keep themselves safe at home.
NCH's fall risk screening clinic is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7, at the NCH Outpatient Center, 3300 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Individual appointments last approximately 30 minutes. Registration is required. The first 15 people to register will receive a free gift.
Approximately one-third of Americans over age 65 suffer a fall each year.
