Healthy Lombard Announces 2014 Health Heroes Award Winners
The Healthy Lombard Foundation would like to congratulate the winners of their 2014 Health Hero Awards. In the first category, that honors those who have made a noticeable effort to improve their health and wellness during the past year, the winners are Lombard residents Cheryl Behrens, Cindy Musiel, Vicki Quigley and The Schuda Family.
In the second category, new for 2014, two greater Lombard area companies who have made positive, healthy changes in their work environments have been selected. They are: Glenbard High School District 87 for their Glenbard Parent Series and Balance! Pediatric and Family Weight Management Specialists for providing an environment for staff that enables them to manage their weight and make lifestyle changes.
Health Heroes will receive their awards at the 2014 Healthy Lombard Fitness February Fair at the Yorktown Center Mall at 1PM. Presenting the awards will be State Representative Sandra Pihos, Staley, the Chicago Bears' Mascot, and Lifestyle Coach Melanie Jordan.
All members of the greater Lombard area community are invited to attend The Fitness February Fair that will be held in the first floor Center Court of the Yorktown Mall, Lombard, IL, from 10 AM –2 PM. The Fair will features health-related displays, free health screenings, the opportunity to participate in interactive presentations, a free raffle, and stage performances by groups such as Sky Center Martial Arts, Ageless Grace, Zumba with Lisa, a CustonFit Personal Trainer Client demonstration, and the Glenbard East Student Zumba Class. There will also be a hula-hoop and jump rope contest!
