Exchange Clubs to Host Free Prayer Breakfast

The event, open to the public, is hosted each year during the week of Thanksgiving to bring communities and businesses together and prayerfully acknowledge and appreciate the blessings of liberty bestowed upon the country.

The program will begin with an opening prayer by Rev. Todd Habegger, senior pastor, Village Church of Gurnee, followed by presentation of colors by the Gurnee Fire and Police Departments; singing of “The Star Spangled Banner” by the Viking Park Singers; recognition of military veterans; keynote address by the Honorable Judge George Bridges; and the singing of “God Bless America” by 12-year-old Adelia Mahaffee of Gurnee, a student at Woodland Middle School. She is the daughter of former Assistant State's Attorney Shane Mahaffee, who served in the Army Reserve and was killed in Iraq in 2006.
