Neuqua Valley edges Lake Park

Colleen Hill hit a 3-run home run in a fourth-run Neuqua Valley first inning, and the Wildcats held on to beat No. 13 Lake Park 9-8 on Monday in Naperville.

Jamie O’Brien also homered and Alyssa Domico doubled twice, scored a run and drove in 2 for Neuqua (15-10, 11-5 Upstate Eight Conference), which led 9-4 after four innings. Sam Cummings was 3-for-4 with a triple, run scored and 3 RBI and Danielle Jecmen 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and 2 RBI for Lake Park (23-10, 12-5), which scored 2 runs in the seventh but grounded out to end the game with the tying run on second base.
