Neuqua Valley edges Lake Park

Colleen Hill hit a 3-run home run in a fourth-run Neuqua Valley first inning, and the Wildcats held on to beat No. 13 Lake Park 9-8 on Monday in Naperville.
Jamie O'Brien also homered and Alyssa Domico doubled twice, scored a run and drove in 2 for Neuqua (15-10, 11-5 Upstate Eight Conference), which led 9-4 after four innings. Sam Cummings was 3-for-4 with a triple, run scored and 3 RBI and Danielle Jecmen 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and 2 RBI for Lake Park (23-10, 12-5), which scored 2 runs in the seventh but grounded out to end the game with the tying run on second base.
Minooka 2, Glenbard South 0:
Jackie Lilek struck out 11 in a 6-hit shutout, snapping the No. 3 Raiders' seven-game winning streak. Losing pitcher Jane Trzaska (9-3) struck out three over three innings and Aimee Gerherdt was 3-for-3 for Glenbard South (21-4).
WW South 8, Glenbard East 6:
Cam Briggs, Jenny Harbakus and Kim Hayes all homered for the Tigers (12-14, 9-4 DuPage Valley Conference), who led 8-0 after five innings and held on in Lombard. Megan Cotterill homered and Dana Camp went 3-for-3 with a double, run scored and RBI for Glenbard East (9-15, 4-9).
Glenbard North 10, Wheaton North 2:
Ashley Stiver went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer, Amanda Manton was 2-for-3 and also went deep, and the No. 5 Panthers (21-4, 10-3) scored 4 runs in the third and 4 more in the fourth to blow the game open. Kelly Thornton's 2-run homer in the first accounted for Wheaton North's runs.

Marissa Panko hit her sixth homer and doubled for the Redwings (18-7, 10-4 East Suburban Catholic Conference).
Glenbard West 7, Hinsdale South 2:
Shelley Warmolts went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 runs scored and Maggie Stalker 3-for-4 with 3 RBI for the Hilltoppers (14-14), who broke the game open with a 3-run fourth inning.
York 7, Hinsdale Central 0:
Freshman Abbey Solem hit her fifth home run, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBI, and Angela Scalzitti went 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases for the Dukes (17-13). Isabella Jaeger was 2-for-4 with a triple, 2 runs scored and an RBI and Elena Schwarz tossed a 2-hitter with 4 strikeouts.
IC Catholic Prep 9, Regina 8:
Cat Klosterman's bunt single scored Kat Fajardo with the game-winner in the bottom of the eighth of a seesaw affair in Elmhurst. Gabby Curran was 5-for-6 with a triple and 3 runs scored and Klosterman was 3-for-4 with an RBI, part of a 20-hit attack for the Knights (18-10).
Downers Grove South 7, Morton 4:
Kristen Bialek went 2-for-5 with 2 RBI, Caitlyn Daly 3-for-4 and winning pitcher Caroline Hedgcock had 2 hits and an RBI for the Mustangs (16-8, 10-0 West Suburban Gold).
Wheaton Academy 12, Marian Catholic 7:
Marissa Gagliano went 4-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI, and the Warriors (7-9, 7-6) clinched at least a share of the Suburban Christian Conference Gold title. Jessica Bosse was 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI and Bridget Koehler also had 3 hits.
