Schaumburg Idol applications now available

The Schaumburg Park District is now accepting applications for this year's "Schaumburg Idol" singing competition.

This summer, 12 contestants will be chosen to compete for eight spots, which will then be narrowed down to four, then two and eventually one Schaumburg Idol. Contestants advance according to the highest combined judge and community votes.

To be eligible, contestants must be age 13 or older and not party to a contract for recording services. Interested individuals must register, complete the audition entry form and pay the audition fee at parkfun.com. The audition fee is $5 for park district residents and $8 for nonresidents.
