Whole Foods supports hospital's animal assisted therapy program

Northwest Community Hospital's (NCH) Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) program is the beneficiary of Whole Foods Kildeer's Community Support Day on Wednesday, April 3. That day, Whole Foods Kildeer will donate 5 percent of sales to AAT, an all-volunteer program funded exclusively by charitable giving. About 70 AAT dog-and-handler teams visit more than 1,000 NCH patients each month to offer comfort and companionship. A loveable dog visit has been shown to promote the healing process in many ways for patients of all ages.
