Conant clamps down at Hoffman Estates

Kevin Schimel (13 points) and Ryan Blaha (13) and Robert Hudson (12) were double-figures scorers for Conant's boys basketball team in a 71-36 victory at Hoffman Estates on Friday in the Mid-Suburban West.

Conant improved to 15-10 and 5-4 in the West.

Joe Biko scored 15 points with three 3-pointers to lead Hoffman (4-17, 0-9).

Glenbrook North 46, Maine West 36: Glenbrook North received a game-high 15 points from sophomore forward Jan Siegien in Des Plaines

Senior center Andrew McAuliffe added 1r4 points for the Spartans (13-9, 7-2 in the Central Suburban North match.

Maine West (11-12, 3-6) was led by Allante Bates' 14 points.

Morton 78, Leyden 34: Waller Perez had 19 points for Morton (14-5, 8-1) , which hit 11 3-pointers in the first half and added four more in the second half. Leyden is 13-7 and 3-7 in the West Suburban Gold.
