Stevenson High School student Kayla Guo was named tournament champion for novice informational speaking at the Huntley/Rolling Meadows speech and drama tournament on Saturday, school officials announced Tuesday. Fellow Stevenson student Avi Samuels took third place in novice oratorical declamation, and Stevenson's Faith Teodoro was a finalist in varsity poetry reading.
