Visit ‘A Haunting in the Valley’ in Schaumburg

If there’s anything better than a haunted house to mark Halloween, it would have to be a whole haunted forest to wander through after dark.

The Schaumburg Park District is providing such an experience on the trails of the Spring Valley Nature Center at 1111 E. Schaumburg Road from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m. on both Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27.

“A Haunting in the Valley” will feature mysterious walks through the woods near the log cabin. Covered wagons will take groups to the trail every 15 minutes for a half-hour walk. Tickets are available for purchase at the nature center for one of four time slots each evening.

Games, a live owl display, refreshments and a bonfire will be available at the nature center, separate from the haunted trails.

Tickets purchased before 5 p.m. Oct. 26 are $5 per person. Tickets purchased at the door on the night of the event are $6 per person if available. Space is limited and early purchase is strongly encouraged.
