League of Women Voters wants to register voters

The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County has launched an extensive campaign to register new voters before the November 6 election. The deadline to register to vote in Illinois is Oct. 9.

“This election is about everyone standing up for the things that matter most to us and our families. That means registering and voting,” LWV President Sarah Collins said. “Whether we care most about college affordability, job opportunities, America’s place in the world or other important issues, we all deserve the chance to weigh in and make our vote count.”

League volunteers will be registering voters on the following dates:

Ÿ Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

Ÿ Sept. 24: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Delnor Health and Wellness Center, 296 Randall Road, Geneva.

Ÿ Sept. 25: 9 a.m. to noon at Waubonsee Community College, 18 S. River St., Aurora, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove campus, Route 47 and Waubonsee Drive.

Ÿ Sept. 29: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library.

Ÿ Oct. 2: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Delnor Health and Wellness Center, and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library.

Ÿ Oct. 4: 7 to 9 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library.

Ÿ Oct. 6: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library.

Ÿ Oct. 8: 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Charles Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Ÿ Oct. 9: 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Charles Library and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Batavia Public Library.
