Community Wellness Fair at Schaumburg Township Sept. 12

Schaumburg Township Clerk Timothy M. Heneghan and the township board of trustees are sponsoring an interactive Community Wellness Fair from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Schaumburg Township, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates. The event is free and open to the public to showcase services that are available in the township community.

LifeSource will host a blood drive, as free screenings for blood glucose, cholesterol, hearing, blood pressure, and spinal health will be offered. Reservations are needed for the cholesterol screening and to donate blood. Call (847) 884-0030 to make your reservation.

Flu immunizations will be available for $20 or free for persons with proof of Medicare Part D. Other services provided will include U.S. passport services and voter registration.

Disposal of electronic waste products, (except for TVs), used sharps and medications is offered for free.

Other activities include raffle prizes, various food samples from Panera Bread, Oberweis, and Whole Foods and an exercise demonstration by Campanelli YMCA. Additional exhibitors attending include the Cook County sheriff’s office, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Kenneth Young Center, Schaumburg Township Library and much more.
