Milton Twp. cleanup was top-notch

After the fierce storm passed through DuPage County on July 1, it left a path of destruction. The unincorporated area I live in Milton Township was especially hit hard, downing many, many trees and branches. It had looked like a tornado had hit, but it was just the results of winds up to 90 mph.

This was a time when neighbors helped each other clearing the debris. But who would deal with all those fallen trees piled along the roadways? Fortunately, Milton Township Highway Commissioner Gary Muelfelt was up for the task at hand, and had a plan. The clean up, which appeared insurmountable, was completed in a surprisingly short time: one week instead of the anticipated three.

The residents of Milton Township owe Muelfelt and his men, along with those outside work crews brought in to assist, their gratitude. Thanks for a job well done.
