Dodgeball Days return to Schaumburg

The biggest outdoor dodgeball tournament of the year is coming to Schaumburg’s Olympic Park July 13 and 14.

The registration deadline is Monday, July 9 for the 13th annual National Amateur Dodgeball Association’s Dodgeball Days Outdoor National Championships. The final event of the association’s 2011-12 season will feature the crowning of the outdoor national champions.

The youth competition for boys and girls in the fourth through 12th grades will be Friday, July 13. The event is a Schaumburg CAN program which promotes healthy activities for children.

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. A captain’s meeting will be at 10 a.m. with matches following at 10:30 a.m. Multiple grade divisions exist for the youth competition.

The youth and high school fee is $80 for a team of six to 10 players.

The adult competition for ages 18 and older is Saturday, July 14. Packet pickup will begin at 8:30 a.m. A captain’s meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. with matches following at 10 a.m. Men’s, women’s and co-rec divisions are available.

The adult fee is $125 for a team of six to 10 players.
