Schaumburg Boomers owner to co-own another team

On the very day the Schaumburg Boomers baseball team began its inaugural season on the road, owner Patrick Salvi Friday announced that he’d become a partner in a collegiate baseball team on the East Coast — the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks. He will co-own the second-year team based in Vineyard Haven, Mass., with several others, including Hollywood actor Bill Murray. Salvi also owns a second professional team — the Gary SouthShore RailCats in Northwest Indiana — and another New England collegiate team — the North Shore Navigators in Lynn, Mass.
