Schaumburg Twp. GOP owes a lot to Mike Adelizzi

A little less than four years ago Republicans of Schaumburg Township were left without a leader. With the defection of Paul Froehlich to the Democratic Party we were looking for someone to help piece together a shattered Republican Party in the Northwest suburbs.

As a Young Republican eager to get involved in the political process, there was no better person for the job of Schaumburg Township Republican Committeeman than Mike Adelizzi. From the very beginning he set out on an ambitious agenda and put forth goals that challenged each precinct captain to work hard.

He set out to win back the 44th and 56th state representative districts and recruit more captains for each of the township precincts. Mike knew achieving these goals would not happen overnight or in one election. It would require hard work and dedication from all of us.

On the precinct captain front, Schaumburg Township now has nearly 2/3 of our precincts filled with dedicated volunteers who are spreading the Republican message door to door.

On the state representative front, we have a lot more work to do in order to gain the trust and confidence of voters of all political backgrounds. We have to build the kind of Republican Party that is inclusive and willing to reach out to those who might not traditionally vote Republican.

Over the last few years Mike Adelizzi has done that work and then some. It has been an honor to work with him and stand up for Republican principles alongside him during the past two election cycles.

Mike will be hard to replace, but I am confident that the Schaumburg Township Republican Organization is ready to accomplish the goals he set out in 2007 and be a successful Republican organization for years to come.
