You can fly to New York City and pay admission at Carnegie Hall to see the award-winning Hersey High School bands in action.
Or you can attend a free concert later this month in Arlington Heights.

The free performance, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 in Hersey's East Gym, is a preview of the bands' upcoming show at the New York venue.
The school's Concert Band and Symphonic Band will perform in the world-famous Carnegie Hall on Friday, March 4. The concert, billed "The Best of the Midwest," also showcases two bands from William Mason High School in Cincinnati.
About 1,500 people are expected to attend the New York concert.
Hersey is located at 1900 E. Thomas Ave., Arlington Heights.
