TriCity Family Services receives $25,000 grant from Kohl's National Giveback Initiative

TriCity Family Services, a longtime Kane County community mental health center, was awarded a $25,000 grant through Kohl's National Giveback Initiative.

The non-profit will use the funds to continue in their vision of strengthening the mental health of the local communities.

This funding allows TriCity Family Services to provide affordable and accessible counseling, therapy, support groups and workshops to residents of all ages.

Last year, the organization supported 3,760 local individuals through their various services which also include Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders and an Outdoor Recreation Program for teens.

"On behalf of our clients and staff, thank you to Kohl's for this generous gift," said Laura Poss, TriCity Family Services executive director. "Our team will be able to help more families because of Kohl's contribution and commitment to community mental health."

Kohl's grant to TriCity Family Services was made through the company's National Giveback Initiative, which provides associates with the opportunity to nominate a nonprofit they're passionate about for a $25,000 grant.

Through the initiative, Kohl's will donate grants to selected nonprofits nationwide, demonstrating the company's ongoing commitment to family health and wellness.

The full list of selected grant recipients is available on Corporate.Kohls.com.

Donations are made possible through the Kohl's Cares Goods for Good merchandise program, which sells children's books and toys and donates 100% of the net profit to charitable organizations across the country.
