Fine Line offers scholarships for winter classes

Now is the time to apply for Fine Line Creative Arts Center's winter spring scholarship.

Based in St. Charles, this center offers adult art classes in pottery, weaving, jewelry making, painting, photography, blacksmithing and more.

Each semester, the Pat Ostewig Memorial Scholarship Program awards two scholarships.

Ostewig, a former art teacher for Algonquin-based Community Unit District 300, was a member of the Fine Line Faculty and taught basketry classes at the Fine Line.

The center is now accepting applications for their winter/spring classes that begin in January 2024.

Anyone 18 years and over is welcome to apply. You do not have to take classes at Fine Line or any previous art experience to use this scholarship.

The scholarship aims to encourage and assist artists of all levels in expanding their knowledge and skills through classes at the Fine Line.

The application process is straightforward and can be found on the Fine Line website at www.fineline.org.

The next deadline to apply is Friday, Dec. 1.

For questions, call (630) 584-9443.

The Fine Line Creative Arts Center is located at 37W570 Bolcum Road, just west of Randall Road in St. Charles.
