Reach Rescue Celebrates Rescuing 5,000th Dog with Event on June 10

Reach Rescue will be hosting an open adoption event at their facility, 372 Townline Rd., Mundelein, IL, on Saturday. The June 10 event will be coupled with a celebratory party in honor of rescuing their 5,000th dog in late May. From 11am-1pm, participants can partake in face painting, meeting adoptable dogs, games and activities, raffles and more. Food will be available for purchase from Famous Frankie's Hot Dogs. The event is dog-friendly and rescue volunteers are encouraging previous adopters to bring their Reach alumni over to celebrate.

"Rescuing our 5,000th dog is an accomplishment that we are all so very proud of," said Director Amanda Dziekanski. "The phrase "It takes a village' is an understatement when it comes to animal rescue. It takes foster families, volunteers, adopters, veterinarians, trainers, groomers, transporters, pharmacists, donors, supporters, animal control officers, patience, time and a whole lot of love and compassion to sustain this great cause."

"At Reach Rescue we are a family. A family of dedicated volunteers who have come together with one common goal, to be there for those who don't have a voice. We look forward to what the future holds for Reach Rescue as we prepare to build our new facility which will allow us to save so many more lives in need as well as expand outreach to our community," added Dziekanski.

Since 2011, Reach Rescue's team of passionate volunteers have rescued over 5,000 dogs by placing them into their network of trusted foster families. The Mundelein centered organization is a 100% volunteer run and foster based 501(c)3. For more information, visit ReachRescue.org.
