Podcast Series Focuses on HR in M&A Deals

Laurie Huspen, founder of Valuable Resources, Co. (VRC), a leading human resources consulting and training group, will focus upcoming episodes of her podcast series on the role of human resources in mergers and transactions.

Huspen has produced the Taboo Topix podcast series for several years, providing guidance and information on best practices in human resources with a focus in mergers and acquisitions and recorded several podcasts specifically on that topic.

"There have been a number of studies showing the importance of integrating HR at the very front of a business transaction," Huspen said. "We will use these discussions to highlight the ways in which HR is critical to the success of creating the new business entity."

Huspen has been involved in numerous mergers and business acquisitions throughout her career, providing HR support. She points to data which shows how the key factors of HR, including corporate culture, directly impacts financial performance.

"It's not even a question of whether or not HR impacts the bottom line," Huspen said. "It's really a matter of how profound the impact will be."

In this next series, Huspen discusses case studies of how to retain key members of the executive team, how systems impact performance, pre-sale and post-sale expectations, and how to create a calm and steady environment during and after the sale or merger.

"The content I share is gleaned from my career in assisting forward-thinking companies through successful mergers. It is a topic that, if overlooked, can be a significant impediment to success. The podcasts will help C-level personnel put together a successful approach to HR, corporate culture, and employee wellness."
