Vernon Township has several upcoming events to benefit Township residents. Please save the dates for the following upcoming events:
Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, May 4 at 7 p.m.
This meeting will take place at the Township offices (2900 N. Main Street in Buffalo Grove) and hosted by Curtis Perlman, Vernon Township Assessor and Jonathan Altenberg, Vernon Township Supervisor. The meeting's focus will be the Quadrennial Reassessment happening this fall and whether it will impact property tax bills for Township residents.
Cricket Pitch coming this spring!
The Township hopes to break ground this spring on a youth cricket pitch to fulfill community needs. Check the website at vernontownship.com/ and Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VernonTownshipIL for more information.
Ice Cream Social on Friday, June 9 from 5-8 p.m.
Join the Township on Friday, June 9 from 5 - 8 p.m. for an Ice Cream Social at the Jacob Grossman Aquatic Center (16652 N. Buffalo Grove Road in Vernon Hills)! The event will include a live band performing family-friendly music, free lawn games, premium ice cream to purchase at the concession stand, and a discounted entrance to the pool. There will also be a raffle for one, Four Person Family 2023 Season Pool Pass - and raffle ticket holders do not need to be present to win. Raffle proceeds will help fund future free community events provided by Vernon Township.
Summer Camp on Monday, June 12 - Friday, July 28
Summer camp registration is now open for children from 4-7 years of age from Monday, June 12 through Friday, July 28 at William E. Peterson Park (16652 N. Buffalo Grove Road in Vernon Hills). Children will have a fun and educational experience with activities, including arts and crafts, sports, swimming, sing-a-longs and more!
