Enjoy Girls Night out to aid Hoffman Estates Park District

Ladies are invited to a fun night out benefiting local families during the annual Girls Night Out Event Thursday, Feb. 23, at First Place Sports Bar, 1736 W. Algonquin Road, Hoffman Estates.

Tickets to this 21 and older event are $50 and include two hours of open bar, a dinner buffet from 7-9 p.m. and chances to win prizes. Goody bags are available to the first 75 ladies at the event.

Purchase tickets online at www.heparks.org, ID# 800000; at The Club at Prairie Stone; Triphahn Center & Ice Arena; Willow Recreation Center; or the night of the event.

All proceeds benefit the Friends of HEParks Foundation, a 501(c) 3 foundation that supports the Hoffman Estates Park District (HEParks). It provides a funding source for recreational scholarships for at-risk families in the Hoffman Estates community and many special recreation projects for HEParks.

The recreational scholarships assist families facing financial hardships and allow them to enjoy the same recreational and leisure opportunities as their neighbors.

Girls Night Out is sponsored, in part, by 1st Place Sports Bar and Grill, Hoffman Estates Community Bank and WT Group.

For information and sponsorship opportunities, contact Jeff Ney at (847) 285-5477 or jney@heparks.org.

The foundation most recently provided an ADA-compliant bus for summer camp and community field trips and the 50+Club Game Room. The Friends of HEParks also supports the Junior Hawk Mentoring Program, which partners with Hoffman Estates High School to mentor local at-risk youth.

Friends of HEParks hosts various fundraising events throughout the year. For more information, visit www.heparks.org/friends-heparks-foundation.

The next fundraising event will be the Scott R. Triphahn Friends of HEParks Golf Outing on Wednesday, June 7. Contact Cindy Flynn at (847) 781-3633 or cflynn@heparks.org for details.
