Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church to install pastor Oct. 2

The Rev. Ryan Lee Mackey will be officially installed as pastor at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley to serve alongside Senior Pastor Mark Boster on Sunday, Oct. 2.

At 10 a.m., Bishop Elizabeth A. Eaton, Bishop of the Northern Illinois Synod, ELCA, will be preaching and serve as presiding minister at the service of Pastor Ryan Mackey's official installation.

 

"We were very pleased that Ryan chose Shepherd of the Prairie as the site of his Ordination this summer," said Pastor Boster, "and we welcome him and his wife Tara and three sons, Derek, Evan and Jack to our church and the Huntley community. "

Pastor Mackey began his ministry at Shepherd of the Prairie on Aug. 15, 2022.

Refreshments and fellowship will immediately follow the service.

For those who are unable to attend the Ordination of Ryan Lee Mackey in person, the service will be livestreamed at www.sotp.org.

Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main St. in Huntley, under the leadership of Pastor Mark Boster, has served the Huntley community for over 20 years.
