Learn about favorite traditional quilt patterns with Itasca Quilters Guild Aug. 17

The Itasca Quilters Guild has sewn more than 100 brightly patterned pillowcases for donation to the Children's Oncology Services Inc. to be distributed to the campers at their Camp One Step dude ranch program in September.

For over 30 years, the Itasca Quilters Guild has been sewing and distributing quilts and pillowcases for children and adults to various local charitable organizations.

The Itasca Quilters Guild meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month at the Itasca Community Library, 500 W. Irving Park Road.

The next meeting on Aug. 17 will include a presentation on the "Favorite 3Ds: Diamonds, Dresdans, and Drunkards Path," favorite traditional quilt patterns.
