14th annual Art on the Fox returns to Algonquin's downtown Main Street

Art on the Fox is returning to the streets of downtown Algonquin on Sept. 10-11.

This free-admission festival, hosted by the village of Algonquin, will showcase the work of 75 of the nation's top juried artists, live musical performances, and additional family-friendly activities!

Guests will have the opportunity to see and shop exceptional artwork in a variety of price points and mediums including paintings, ceramics, glass, jewelry, sculpture and more.

Amdur Productions is the producer of this year's Art on the Fox, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Main and Washington streets.

"Algonquin is looking forward to hosting the 14th annual Art on the Fox this year on our award-winning Main Street," said Algonquin Village President Debbie Sosine. "There will surely be something for everyone, from great art and food, to the wonderful stores and restaurants in our community!"

Attendees are encouraged to come hungry. Art on the Fox is sure to be a feast for your eyes, as well as your taste buds. While shopping the show, guests will have an opportunity to eat their way through the festival at a variety of restaurants just steps away. Be sure to start your day at Short Stacks for a hearty breakfast, grab a bite to eat from Cucina Bella for lunch, and make a final pit stop at Clock Tower Cupcakes, where each cupcake is a true work of art.

Art lovers will be able to meet and engage with the artists to gain a better understanding of their work and learn about the different processes and inspirations that go into their creations.

The Algonquin Public Arts Commission will be judging the show, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Live musical performances are scheduled throughout the festival weekend.

The Cirrus Falcon duo will be playing music from the 1960s through today's hits on Stage 1, and the Ron Steta Trio performs blues and light rock on Stage 2.

Admission and parking are free. The festival welcomes dogs as long as they are leashed and friendly! Visit amdurproductions.com.
