New Deercrest Townhomes Rental Development Opens in Antioch, RMK Management Named Property Manager

CHICAGO (JUNE 19, 2022) - RMK Management Corp., one of the Midwest's largest market-rate apartment management firms, has been chosen by Next Generation Development to oversee property management for Deercrest Townhomes, a new community of 64 luxury rental townhomes in Antioch, Ill. Deercrest Townhomes began welcoming its first move-ins in December 2021, and already is 60% occupied and 78% leased.

"There's a tremendous need right now for new, quality housing for families, especially rental options in suburban areas with plenty of green space and outdoor amenities, so it's not surprising Deercrest Townhomes is already more than 75% leased so quickly after opening," said Anthony Rossi Sr., chairman of Chicago-based RMK Management. "While we've seen developers bring new apartments to market in the suburbs due to demand from the pandemic, the number of new townhome rentals has been quite low, so Deercrest Townhomes is really filling a void. We're excited to add this community to our management portfolio, start planning events for residents and introduce them to the high level of service that's synonymous with RMK."

Residents at Deercrest Townhomes can choose from two floor plans: a two-bedroom, 2½-bath design that measures 1,489 square feet; and a three-bedroom, 2½ bath layout measuring 1,714 square feet. Both two-story plans feature an attached two-car garage, private patio, second-floor laundry room with full-size washer and dryer, and ample closet and storage space. Townhomes have 9-foot first-floor ceilings and are complete with modern, high-end finishes including quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, white kitchen cabinetry and plank-style flooring throughout the main living areas. Rents start at $2,100 per month.

"These townhomes have many of the same features as a single-family home, not to mention significantly more space and privacy than renters would expect in a traditional apartment," noted Rossi. "Plus, with our award-winning maintenance teams in place, residents can take comfort in knowing we're taking care of landscaping and snow removal, so they can relax and take full advantage of the recreational offerings found in Antioch and the surrounding area."

Located just north of Route 173, east of Highway 45, in a quiet residential area, Deercrest Townhomes is convenient to a variety of parks and recreational amenities including Sprenger Park and Raven Glen Forest Preserve. Antioch is known as the "Gateway to the Chain O'Lakes," a recreational area of 13 interconnected lakes and waterways that offers nearby options for boating, fishing and water sports. Deercrest Townhomes residents also enjoy proximity to historic downtown Antioch, which is home to more than 100 quaint shops and dining options, two theaters and an outdoor band shell. The village hosts a number of community events throughout the year, such as Antioch's Taste of Summer Festival.

Served by Antioch School District 34, Deercrest Townhomes is less than four miles from the Antioch Metra station, which provides service to downtown Chicago and other neighboring suburbs via the North Central Service line. Interstate 94 is also just a short drive from the community, offering easy access to neighboring suburbs, Chicago and Milwaukee.
