Hanover Township Mental Health Board to host Naloxone Training

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board will host a free Naloxone Training on Thursday, June 23 at 5:30PM at the Town Hall (250 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett). Training is open to the public and provided by Live 4 Lali. Attendees will learn how to recognize and reverse an opioid overdose by administering nasal Naloxone (Narcan).

"We continue to see a staggering trend of opioid overdoses in Cook County and in the Chicago area over the last several years," said Kristen Cruthers, Chairperson of the Hanover Township Mental Health Board. "This training and future trainings, are a result of feedback the board received from the community needs assessment conducted last year."

Live 4 Lali is a non-profit agency based in Arlington Heights that offers recovery programs and overdose prevention support for people struggling with a substance abuse disorder.

To register or for questions about the training, please call (630) 837-0301 or email mhb@hanover-township.org.
