'I Stand For Peace' Worldwide Campaign arrives in Chicago

Art of Living Foundation in Chicago, is organizing "I Stand For Peace" public event with the global humanitarian leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the UIC Forum. The Chicago "I Stand For Peace" event will be on Saturday, June 26, 2022 from 6:30-8:30PM at the UIC Forum in Chicago. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a global ambassador of peace and a renowned humanitarian leader whose leadership has mediated several conflicts and provided trauma relief around the world and over 3000 people are expected to join the Chicago event. "I Stand For Peace" launched by the Art of Living Foundation on April 20th this year in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of Gurudev's tour of over fifteen cities in Europe and North America, including Berlin, Warsaw, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The "I Stand for Peace" campaign endeavors to strengthen and channel individuals' commitment to peace holistically during these turbulent times. The worldwide sense of helplessness and hopelessness caused by the pandemic, war, and inflation has weighed heavily on the human psyche. According to the World Health Organization, the biggest challenge of the pandemic has been mental health.

Organized by the Chicago chapter of the nonprofit Art of Living Foundation, the "I Stand for Peace" event will be a special evening of guided meditation, music and wisdom led by Gurudev. The event will also include an interactive session where audience members will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Gurudev.
