Harrer Pool Grand Reopening

Morton Grove Park District's long-awaited Harrer Pool reopened Saturday, June 4, with a splash and a great turn-out for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration. Kids of all ages stood in line in anticipation of the opening.

The park district staff, Park Board Commissioners, Village Trustees, Village President Dan DiMaria, Representative Mike Kelly, Senator Ram Villivalam, and residents celebrated the Grand Opening of the new Harrer Pool at 6250 Dempster Street in Morton Grove. Swimmers were present as Morton Grove Park Board of Commissioners President Steven Schmidt and Paul Minx cut the ribbon at the front gate. Executive Director Jeff Wait welcomed everyone to their new pool. "Building your new neighborhood pool began two years ago, with public hearings and meetings with the Park Board and staff. We listened to your requests and were able to incorporate many of the features Morton Grove residents asked for. We are so proud of this beautiful new facility, and we know that everyone will enjoy all that Harrer Pool offers."
