Brotherhood of Harmony offers free singing lessons

Registration for a special program of free singing/voice lessons opens March 29 through April 13.

The lesson program begins April 13, and will meet at 7 p.m. each Thursday evening for one hour at DeerGrove Covenant Church, 225 E. Helen Road, Palatine. The program will continue for five weeks through May 11.

The program will include discussions of posture, breathing, tone, articulation and voice care. Though the program is designed around men's voices, all singers would benefit from the instruction and education provided. Students will be invited to sing with the Brotherhood of Harmony Chorus at a celebratory concert performance following the completion of the course.

Anyone, young or old, that has always wanted to sing, or would like to hone their singing skills is invited. Whether you've been singing all your life or just starting, you're guaranteed to learn something and have fun! You'll even join members of the chorus to rehearse your song for performance.

There is no cost and no obligation. Materials will be provided. The chorus will supply singing masks for those who desire them. Class size is limited. Visit BrotherhoodOfHarmony.org to register.

The Brotherhood of Harmony sings a cappella four-part harmony and meets weekly to rehearse at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings at the DeerGrove Covenant Church. If you love to sing, the chorus has openings for all parts and skill levels, so come join.
