Sign up for bird watching programs this summer

Enjoy the changing seasons as you hike, look, and listen for the birds inhabiting the local forest preserves this summer.

Forest Preserve District naturalists will cover basic bird identification skills and share a few interesting stories along the way during "Summer Bird Watching."

They are offering two identical sessions of this program.

The first program will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, at Burnidge Forest Preserve, 14N035 Coombs Road in Elgin.

The second program will be 9 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Muirhead Springs Forest Preserve, 42W797 Rohrsen Road in Hampshire.

Advance registration is required for these free, all-ages programs.
