Saint Viator Students and Alumni to Participate in Upcoming Career Day

Next week, Saint Viator is hosting a Career Day event for current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The event will expose students to different occupations and connect them with alumni and friends of Saint Viator working in various fields. The event will not only help current students find the right career, but it will create future networking and professional opportunities for both students and alumni.

On the morning of May 27, a number of Saint Viator alumni will return to the school to host presentations and meet with current students. Prior to the event, students will be able to browse the titles and resumes of the speakers and select two interactive presentations to attend.

"Trying to decide on a career at the age 15, 16, or 17 can be very overwhelming," said Alumni Relations Manager Krystal Harris (SVHS '15). "This event is a great way to expose current Saint Viator students to a variety of careers that are related to their interests and connect them with people who can help them on the right path."

At this year's Career Day event, 30 different alumni will come back to speak with students. Presenters work in a variety of fields, including medicine, engineering, entertainment, finance, education, religious services, law enforcement, and more. They will speak about their career path and answer questions about their college, work history, and current role.

"I think it's a testament to Saint Viator that alumni remain so connected to the school and continue to return to help current students," Harris said. "It speaks volumes about their character and the positive impact Saint Viator has had on their lives."
