Palatine's Girls on the Town event rings in spring May 6

The Downtown Palatine Business Association (DPBA) member businesses are thrilled to once again open their doors from 5-9 p.m. Friday, May 6, for the annual Girls on the Town event.

Area residents can ring in spring while exploring the unique and eclectic businesses within Palatine's quaint downtown, while also showing support for our local small businesses.

The DPBA members will feature their wares and other offerings, along with specials, sales and raffles, in addition to appetizers, sweet treats and wine tastings at select locations.

Get a group together to learn more about the DPBA member businesses, which include gift shops, entertainment venues, restaurants, salons and spas, boutique clothing and accessories/apparel, along with fine kitchenware, cooking classes and demonstrations, and more.

"Our historic and walkable downtown provides the perfect backdrop as our world opens up again, and guests can also pick up something special for mom on Mother's Day," said DPBA Vice President Larry Schroth.

"Despite our event's name, all community members are welcome to participate and take advantage of the many special offers our local businesses will be featuring during this popular annual event."

Passports, which cost $10, are required for entry into the event. They can be purchased on the night of the event at any participating location. Guests can also participate in a raffle to win one of two gift baskets filled with gift certificates from DPBA members and area businesses.
