ELevate Dance excels at Competitions with Artists in Motion Company

ELevate Dance in Antioch, kicked off their fourth season in September of 2021. The studio is, and has been, a dance home for many of their new and returning dancers. Spending anywhere from thirty-minutes to more than 10 hours each week together at the studio, dancers have formed a strong family bond. While it is true that dancers learn technique and choreography from their teachers, the support they get from each other is invaluable. ELevate students of all ages encourage, and inspire each other to grow in their dance skills. It is not uncommon to see the younger students linger after their class is over and be motivated by watching the older students showcase their talent. All of the ELevate Dance dancers and instructors are extremely supportive of each other which is one quality that makes them such a strong studio.

ELevate Dance not only has studio classes but is the home to Artists In Motion (AIM) Competition Dance Team. AIM's schedule includes four regional competitions and one national competition in June. Starting out the competition season at Celebration, with 34 dances, AIM brought home a "Superstar" award, a ruby placement and a 1st place overall for "Crazy", choreographed by Hannah Johnson which was the highest scoring routine at the competition. Additionally, AIM was awarded 14 Platinum, 16 High Gold and 3 Gold placements, 9-Top 10 overall placements, 4 showstopper Awards and 2 Choreography Awards.

Performances at In10sity scored 16 High Gold Placements and 24 Platinum Placements. Our Petite Debut Duo tapped by Etta Rensner (7yrs old) and Eli Urbanik(6 yrs old) to the song "Jolly Holiday", was the youngest of the company dancers to receive a Platinum award and placed first in category for their routine, choreographed by Andi Bissen. AIM dancers continue to have fun, while challenging themselves to improve with each new competition. The awards on the wall are another example of ELevate's strength.

ELevate Dance is continuing to grow with every new season. Not only a performing arts studio, but it is also a space where students can learn about the visual arts. Adventures in Art at ELevate Dance was kicked off with a Spring Break Class on Van Gogh's "The Sunflower." This season they were able to add Marley flooring, a superior dance flooring, in one studio, with plans being made to add Marley to their second studio.

ELevate Dance is owned by Lisa Stay, who is also one of nine instructors. Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theater and lyrical. This year's recital will be held at Wilmot High School on June 4th. Summer classes will begin registration in May.

A second home where students can grow in their art, a fierce competitive team, and amazing teachers are just a few of the reasons that your student should consider ELevate Dance.
