'The Winter Palette' exhibit closes March 25 at The Fine Line

"The Winter Palette" exhibit at Fine Line's Kavanagh Gallery features work by 42 artists from 20 states. The show is a collection of wall art, showing the striking hues of winter.

While some of the pieces depict the more traditional view of winter, many offer a more abstract view with rich, vibrant colors.

If you are looking for a new piece of art, why not visit the Kavanagh Gallery at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 37W570 Bolcum Road, just west of Randall Road in St. Charles.

Even if you are not looking for a new piece of art, it's worth visiting the gallery to see the incredible selection on display.

"The Winter Palette" award winners include: Best of Show, William Hays' "Twilight Village"; Award of Merit, Phyllis Deicher-Ladwig's "Free," Karen Gaudette's "Santa Lucia," and Jeanne LaCasse's "Hiver 6"; and honorable mention, Mirka Knaster's "Frozen: Weathering Winter," Dale Finley's "Late Afternoon, Early January," Gayathri Seetharaman's "Down by the River," Howard Pohl's "Tree in Winter," and Joan Weiss' "Catch Me if You Can."

The show, which runs through March 25, is open to the public Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Like all Fine Line Kavanagh Gallery Shows, this show is free to view.
