Brotherhood of Harmony to sing at farmers market

After years of precautions required by the pandemic, the Brotherhood of Harmony chorus is eager to get out in public and fill the air with music.

The Brotherhood of Harmony will sing at the Palatine Winter Farmers Market between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, March 19, at the Palatine Train Station Parking Lot, 137 Wood St.

The program includes old favorites like "My Wild Irish Rose," rock' n'-roll tunes like "Hello Mary Lou" and Beatles songs like "Yesterday."

"These men sing a wide array of popular songs, utilizing four-part harmony to produce the barbershop quartet sound," said chorus director Brian Cromer.

The Palatine Winter Farmers Market takes place from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturdays of each month through April. The venue, outside the Palatine Train Station, allows both drive-through and walk-up shopping. A variety of goods, from savory to sweet and fresh to frozen, are offered.
