Celebrate Valentine's Day All Weekend at Hey Nonny

Hey Nonny, the vibrant bistro and music venue in Arlington Heights, has its heart set on Valentine's Day with special events running Feb. 11 through 14. If the love of your life loves great food, creative drinks and lively music - there's a lot to love at Hey Nonny.

"Hey Nonny is always kind of a romantic place," said co-owner Chip Brooks. "So we love hosting Valentine's Day events that have just the right mood, music, and menu to make it a special candle-lit celebration for our patrons."

The four-day celebration will feature a special three-course Valentine's Day Dinner on Friday, Feb. 11, Saturday, Feb. 12, and Monday, Feb. 14 for those who want to get out on Cupid's special day. Diners will love the $45 per person ($8 extra for steak) three-course menu that keeps the price reasonable while providing a romantic and intimate dining experience in the suburbs.

Patrons can choose to begin their meal with Italian wedding soup or niçoise salad, each bursting with fresh vegetables, or opt for Cozy Seafood with shrimp and scallops. Entrées include a classic eight-ounce New York strip steak with lobster and herbed garlic butter or silk salmon baked with maple soy. The third entrée option is SuperNatural Pasta complemented with vegan pesto, parmesan, and garlic bread. The meal ends with either bananas foster bread pudding or espresso ganache tart with mixed berries and whipped cream.

"At Hey Nonny, Chef Tony takes pride in providing fresh, imaginative recipes that really cater to how people like to eat," Brooks said. "The pasta option allows those following a vegan lifestyle to get out and enjoy a delicious Valentine's Day dinner without compromise."

The Valentine's Day Dinner on Feb. 14 will include romantic Spanish guitar music from Guitarra Azul. Valentine's diners on Friday, Feb. 11 can eat early and then buy tickets for the Hey Comedy standup show at 7:30 that evening. Those dining on Saturday, Feb. 12, may buy tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show featuring The Special Consensus, a band born in Chicago, but now considered a national bluegrass treasure.

Brunch fans can celebrate Valentine's Day on Sunday, Feb. 13 at the Hey Nonny Jazz Brunch, which will feature a special Valentine's red velvet French toast, along with the sultry and swinging singing of Angel Spiccia. The Hey Nonny Jazz Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
