Hanover Township now offering vehicle license plate renewal services

Hanover Township is now offering Illinois license plate sticker renewal services to the public. Township residency is not required.

Residents can skip the long lines at the Secretary of State facilities, renew at the township, and leave with a license plate sticker on the same day.

Renewals will be available at Town Hall, 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett, during regular business hours. Those wanting to renew will need to bring their Illinois Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), driver's license number and license plate number.

The township is unable to renew license plates of vehicles needing to pass an emissions test.

The cost of renewal sticker varies depending on the vehicle type. Residents can pay with cash, debit or credit card. There is a 2.13% processing fee if using debit/credit card and a $5 service fee for each renewal.
