Rep. Bos to Host Free Rx Disposal Event on Oct. 16

LAKE ZURICH - State Representative Chris Bos (R-Lake Zurich) is partnering with the Hawthorn Woods Police Department to host a free prescription drug tack back event on Saturday, October 16. This event to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medications will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Hawthorn Woods Aquatic Center located at 94 N. Midlothian Rd. in Hawthorn Woods.

"Ensuring expired or unneeded medications don't fall into the wrong hands is as important as ever," said Bos. "To provide a safe and easy environment to dispose of these medications, our drop-off event will be set up as a drive-thru to allow residents to remain in their vehicles during the collection process."

As Bos indicated, the event is outside and allows participants to remain in their vehicle during the collection of unwanted, unused or expired medications. Drivers should follow the marked lanes when entering and exiting the parking lot.
