Local League of Women Voters to celebrate 100 years with party Aug. 8

On Sunday, Aug. 8, join the League of Women Voters of Downers Grove, Woodridge and Lisle in Hummer Park Pavilion to celebrate 100 years since its founding.

One hundred years is something to celebrate!

The League of Women Voters of Downers Grove, Woodridge and Lisle invites you to a birthday party at 4 p.m. in the park, 4833 Fairview Ave. in Downers Grove.

They are kicking off a special year of celebrations, events and sharing the great history of the League.

After a brief program, they will sing "Happy Birthday," share treats and enjoy the company of friends.
