Harper, Boomers team for Back to School Night

Harper College has partnered with the Schaumburg Boomers for Back to School Night at the ballpark.

The first 1,000 kids attending the baseball game, starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, will receive a Boomers/Harper backpack filled with school supplies.

Attendees will be able to talk with Harper representatives about the college's programs and services, take pictures with mascots Coop and the Harper Hawk, and cheer on Dr. Avis Proctor, Harper College president, as she throws out the ceremonial first pitch.

The Boomers will take on the Windy City Thunderbolts at Wintrust Field, 1999 S. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg.

Harper students, employees and alumni may receive discount tickets.
