This July, Streamwood Park District Is Sharing Their Park and Recreation Story

Month-long celebration highlights the impact parks and recreation has on communities across the country.

This July, join Streamwood Park District for Park and Recreation Month, as we celebrate how Streamwood is stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient because of parks and recreation.

Streamwood Park District is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), by inviting our community to share their experiences, memories, and stories about what parks and recreation mean to them. With special events like Puzzles in the Park (July 10), Play in the Park (July 15), and Christmas in July (July 18) to the second of three Summer Concert Series editions (July 28) featuring Final Say, there are plenty of ways that you can celebrate with us as well.

The NRPA and Streamwood Park District encourage people who support parks and recreation to share their park and recreation story, and why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them using the hashtag #OurParkAndRecStory.
