Big Hollow to offer pre-kindergarten screening June 30

Your child's first 5 years of life are so important and Big Hollow School District 38 wants to help you provide the best start for your child.

Child Find screening is available for any children between the ages of 3 and 5 years who reside within the District 38 boundaries. The Child Find screening specifically looks at students who may be eligible for early intervention, or who may be in need of special education services.

The school district accepts screening requests for children who meet the following criteria:

Child must currently live within the District 38 boundaries.

Child must be 3 years of age by the date of the screening

A parent/guardian is available to bring the child to the screening (we are unable to screen a child unless their legal parent/guardian accompanies the child)

Child must turn 5 after Sept. 1, 2021.

Big Hollow District 38 will hold a preschool screening from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 for 3-5 year-old children for whom there may be concerns in the areas of gross or fine motor skills, speech-language, or conceptual development.
